THE BROOK
The slowly "trinkling" brook of time
It sings a song, each turn a tune, each fall a
rhyme.
Weaving it's way along the meadows edge,
New life as melting snow slips slowly from
mountain's ledge.
Never ending, ever bending, ever running fresh
and cool,
Watch it ripple, running swiftly, see it whirl
and pool.
Sand and rock clean water, clear as the sky
above,
Never hating, never cheating, pure and simple
sign of love.
Stream of love flow strongly; let us walk near
by,
Let us feel the strength and happiness within
your banks does lie.
Dip and swirl, bubble and toss, sing freely thy
happy song,
Give us faith and courage that we could do no
wrong.
What a lesson of peace with flowing harmony,
Aw, what beauty flowing through the valley for
all to see
From the brook's water pure and clear
"Trinkling" brook, our lesson learned,
we go - we see - we hear.

MOLDING YOUTH
We are not building castles of
concrete and steel;
We are building character around
muscle and will,
Not molding a statue of clay;
But guiding a boy along the way.
Three things I see as I look out at
you,
God's will, true Americans, The
will to do,
Fine people, ready to employ
Your time and talent for the life
of a boy.
We may never build a mansion or
structure so fine;
But how better could we spend our
time.
And where could we find more joy,
Than taking one hand and molding a
boy.

JUST A THOUGHT
There is never time to be dismayed,
That would cause a life to be
delayed.
Nothing should ever be a real
surprise,
Or cause you to say, "I can't
believe my eyes,"
We are living in a
"Baskin-robbins" world
With people out of control and in a
whirl
You can't worry about what others
may involve
Only those problems your strength
can solve.

WILL ROGERS NEVER MET ALL
Will Rogers said, "I never
met a man I didn't like".
Now I've admired 'ole' Will since
I was a "tike"
And always thought he was quite a
"hoss",
But, I'm sure he never met my
foreman/boss.

BOY'S VIEW OF ANATOMY
Your head is kinda hard and round
Inside your brains can be found.
The top is all filled with hair,
I don't know why it's there.
Your face is in front, with a mouth
to "holler",
And your neck keeps your head out
of your collar.
That neck is kinda hard to keep
clean,
Your shoulders are shelves either
broad or lean,
Your spine is a long bone and no
matter what you do,
That old bone is always behind you.
The arms are what you have to pitch
a ball.
Without them it's hard to do much
at all.
Your fingers; out from your hands
they stick.
They are for holding a pencil when
you do arithmetic.
The legs are what, if you don't
have two
Makes it hard to do some things you
want to do.
That's about all there is to you
and me,
Except what's inside and that I
cannot see.
